Looking for a way to keep the majority of water from blowing in through my hawse and getting/keeping my winch line wet, what with the constant rain here in Florida. Before I figure out something myself, I figured I'd ask if someone makes something like this, or has made something like this. A cover/plug/filler/whatever...

I don’t know of any. I’ve seen brackets for a license plate that would block it. Some hold the plate on with screw in knobs or spring loaded and it flips up.

I made some covers for my warn 9000 on my CJ to protect it from UV that also kept a majority of water out.

I used 12x12 sheets of kydex and molded it with a heat gun then used Velcro to hold the covers in place. I used two sheets, one in front one in back. The hawse did not seem to be the main problem but I bet you could do the same with a small piece of kydex. Let me see if I have any pics for reference
