Probably because of covids and "forever" is a slight exaggeration but besides that, Is anyone else having the same problem?
My daughter had her eyes checked and new glasses ordered in early July hoping to have them by the time she moved out of state 3 weeks later. She does have them now but that turned into 3 months and we had to pick them up and ship them to her. 1500 miles is a little too far to just drop them off.
Then I ended up waiting a similar 3 months and got some (multiple swear word adjectives) "progressive" lenses. They suck so bad (but that's a different topic for a different thread) and the good old fashioned bifocals were ordered to replace them about two months ago and the office said they're still having trouble with their supplier. It's just the way it currently is.
My family uses one eye doctor in his own office not one of those chain store places where you never know who will actually be checking your eyes. Maybe they're not too slow actually getting glasses and I should have taken my prescription to them from my dr.
