So I installed a GlowShift 1/8" npt oil pressure sensor and temperature sensor...used two Amazon street T fittings and despite everything no surprise the temperature sensor is leaking oil straight on to my exhaust.

I think I've heard of folks pulling what appears to be that brass plug and drilling it out for additional sensors?

Any advice? I'm loath to unscrew the fitting because it just seems like something I'd completely mess up without a little research.

I could be wrong but I think the sensors are npt thread and your brass fittings is pipe thread.

NPT is National Pipe Thread. 1/8" - 27. AN fittings, an interesting sidebar came from Army Navy specifications.

I'd remove the original brass plug, drill and tap the top and one other side.

Pretty sure the Amazon street T was very soft brass. I also don't like the long string of sensors. Sticks here in the PNW like jumping up into all sorts of interesting places.

Id start over with some better quality fittings. I bought some hardware from Lowes the other day. 1/4 20 nuts and bolts and you couldn't even thread the nuts on the bolts unless you used wrenches. China bombs.

Completely agree. Problem is 99 percent of what's out there is Chineseum garbage. You either buy it cheap from Amazon as such, or marked up 1000 percent from a legit store.

So either I need a good source...or I need to make my own...ergo drill the oil pressure fitting on the block.

I am loathe to do that because I don't see ANY replacements short of purchasing a $200-300 rebuildable long block of FB or CL.

Tight quarters down there.

Is this what you are calling a brass plug?

Exactly. Help me with my nomenclature...what the heck do we officially call that piece so I can stop sounding like an idiot.

It is a port adapter. Not much different than the fittings you bought to cobble all that stuff together, just happens to be specific to that location. I also suspect if you were to pull it, you'd discover it is steel, not brass. What I don't know is what the male threads are. I suspect they are very likely NPT as well.
