Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I have a stock 2005 LJ Rubicon I just ordered a 4in currie/rockjock lift for. The shop is installing it in the next week or so. I know that I will have to get an aftermarket driveshaft but want it out of the shop asap. My question is will it be okay to drive it home (20 miles) on the stock driveshaft? Once the lift is installed I want to measure to get the correct length driveshaft.

Thank You!

Is the shop setting the rear control arms for your current driveshaft or the new double cardon shaft?

Would someone with the same lift be able to give me their driveshaft length and have it applied to mine? Or should I just wait and measure ? Thoughts?

I wasn't aware that it would be a different angle based on the driveshaft. Is it possible for them to adjust it to the angle for the double carton shaft with the old driveshaft being in the vehicle?

Tell them to point the yoke at the tcase output. It will probably have vibrations if they do. Like buzzard said, pull the rear shaft out after and drive home in 4hi

There isn't a standard length driveshaft I can order for the 4in lift that would fit good? Or do they all very on how much lift I actually get?

Adam's Driveshaft or Tom Woods both make excellent driveshafts and can walk you through any necessary measurements or they've got enough experience to know roughly what you need.

I'd think you'd make it home on the stock shaft just fine. There's a blue coating on the splines. Big question is how much of that is exposed. An inch or two no problem. 3-4 inches and I'd think you're approaching the limits of the shaft.
