Engine swap

You'll have to blend the harnesses together yourself or find someone who does them.

Why a Ford 5.0? Nothing wrong with them but I'm just curious why?

Also if you run aftermarket gauges then you don't need to tie into Jeep wiring harness.

Aren’t the ford v8s really wide? Anything is possible but that’s why it’s not a common swap

Here’s me in 2001 going up Pritchett Canyon with my ‘91 YJ and an ‘88 Mustang 5.0L HO. Backed by a T-18 transmission. Later, I removed that in favor of the C4 transmission. Engine fit perfectly. You have to have the wiring diagrams for both the jeep and ford engines. IMG_2631.jpeg

So 390 lbs for an aluminum block engine & the iron block is 110 lbs more so 500 lbs for a iron block engine or is my math off?

Any idea how many LS2 engines were produced? What vehicles do they come in?

LS2’s aren’t the only ones that are aluminum but that gives the general weight, accessories will change that and they are all different.

So do you have a SWAG of how many aluminum block engines have been made in the last 20 years? Compared to the number of iron block engines?
You say they are in junk yards but how hard or easy are they to find? Since I'm not interested in them I don't know which is why I'm asking.
