So I'm new to the Jeep family and recently picked up a '00 4.0. I'm in the process of doing my usual inspection/changing/fixing/upgrading of everything on, in and under it. I've noticed the exhaust has some decent surface rust and have started to correct this. My next step is to replace the stock exhaust manifold(s), however I'd like to keep it as "affordable" as possible. Although its covered in surface rust, it does not have any leaks....yet. As opposed to pulling them off, knocking the surface rust off and doing a craigslist rebuild, I'd assume to just replace them. I see their are some name brand options ($$$$$) and I've also found some stock replacements ($$$$). However I was curious if anyone has run this ebay special and what your thoughts are. I'm not looking for performance, I'm looking for fitment. I don't want to fab/massage the manifold to get it to fit. I'm to old and ornery these days to do all that BS...lol. If you have any other suggestions in or under that $250 range, by all means please let me know. I don't mind spending more coin, however I'm hoping I can avoid spending the $500+ for the name brand and stock replacements I've found online. Thanks.
