Hit some chunky rock ledges this past Sunday. The forest colors were gorgeous. Fall wheeling is the best.

We are running OFR on Fri Oct 16th, about 1pm-ish. It’s the first day of a 3 day wheeling trip up that way. You may join us if you’re free. Not sure if we’re running it from start to finish or from finish to start and back...fun little trail

We hit MaBell a few months ago. My TJ was out of service so I ran my XJ...that is also a really fun, but short trail. Half mile up and back...but so much fun. I might be able to sneak up Saturday if anyone is interested in running it. I’ll check the NEA schedule to see if it’s going to be crowded.

If we told you, we’d have to kill you...lol

No, seriously. It’s an unmaintained township road in the vicinity of Adams, Massachusetts. Over the years it has washed out enough to be a really challenging trail. Running it in the direction that most do, from south to north, it has 2 or 3 challenging obstacles with a bunch of fun but less challenging filler in between.

The first obstacle is a roughly 3-4ft ledge. It’s bordered on the right by a small gap and then a rock wall. And on the left by a big tree and then a drop off. The issue is, if you can’t make the first obstacle by either driving it or winching up, if you by-pass it on the left, you are tresspassing.

The second big obstacle is also a big ledge that if you don’t have the height you will high center. Most don’t look at the obstacle and just try to drive right up. But there is a nice line to the right that most regulars can do.

The 3rd obstacle is a drainage pipe that has been exposed over the years and is fun. The approach is a little off camber and then you need to change directions mid obstacle asking it fun.

Overall, it’s not stock friendly at all. I’d say 33’s-35’s and a locker or winch at minimum.
Here are some pics from the first ledge.

I should add that most of the trail is bordered by private land and state forest(tail end) on both sides the entire length. Don’t turn off or take any side routes that you see. You will be trespassing. At the end, you drive through Savoy State Forest. Especially don’t turn off on side trails there. There is a semi-deep water crossing at the end. You must go through it. Any bypasses you see would be trespassing.

I'd love to hit you up on the 16th for and OFR trip but I'll be at Field & Forest that weekend. BTW, is your avatar photo from Chutes & Ladders? I was there this past weekend and hit the same (or very similar) split rock feature.

F&F is So awesome...enjoy the trip.
Yes that is Chutes and Ladders. Another great property in your club’s inventory. That pic was a few years ago. Might need to update it.
Were you at Wheel-n-Squeal this last weekend? Some of our guys were there. Heard it was epic, like flame thrower epic. Lol

I was there and yes, it was flame thrower epic. Hero conditions. We were hitting everything. I walked my TJR thru some crazy shit this weekend. Does this look familiar?

I prob should join club out of Massachusetts.
However, i don’t have FB, IG, or SC. What i have found online make the NE clubs seem “full” or somewhat exclusive.

Anyone willing to PM me for guidance?
