When I am facing the fan, wrench handle sticking up, which direction do I hit the wrench handle? To the driver's side?

I've done this twice before without trouble, but not today!

I'll go back outside and try again as soon as this TV show is over...

What's wrong, overheating ?
Or doing responsible PM?
just curious and nosey.. 😄

I installed a really nice body lift to replace the junky old one and now the fan won't spin! :)

To remove the fan clutch, smack the big wrench with a big hammer in this direction!

Shroud mounting holes are slotted.

When installing the fan clutch, get it screwed on and give the wrench a wack in the other direction!

This way there is far less of a chance that the fan will unscrew itself into the radiator after shutting the engine off after the first drive.
