Finally been ducked!

The duck activity is slowly dying out here. I'm so glad. Wife loved em in her JL. She traded it for a GC.
When I got ducked it was usually immediately regifted back to the nearest JK/JL in the lot. If it stayed on my dash, it was only till it rolled out somewhere.

Damn. Spoke too soon.
Oh well, I. Heading to a meeting with a dude with a YJ that HAAAAATES ducks.

Guess who's getting ducked!

Thanks!
They aren't too bad. I do need new driver's seat foam eventually. Not critical though.
When I do the carpet, if I know I have a few nice hot, dry days, I pressure wash the seats too. It's critical that they dry all the way to stop mold.

ill have to tryu that with mine. i love the texture of the seats but damn are mine ever dirty. last owner did not care about this jeep at all.

Some might not like my opinion on ducking, but I can't stand it. I throw them away and can't stand when I see a jeep pass me with them lined across their dash. I won't even wave to them if I see it. I figured most people with new JL's that have horrible mods and ducks, are the same people that in high school drove honda civics(and similar small cars) with body kits and loud ass annoying exhaust.

Nothing a RC lift and some cheap ass cast wheels on 35's can't do for some attention! Where I live in Ohio, cheap LED's and the aforementioned are like 99% of JK's anymore. Even the JL's are starting to get victimized with shit mods... Luckily TJ's tend to stay stock or aren't too fucked up. At least the ones that haven't folded in half.

The ducks on the other hand... I thought it was ironic and funny at first so I played along. Then it got to a point where I thought, "I'm a grown man playing with rubber ducks because some other guy with a similar car gave it to me". So once I realized how stupid this duck shit was and the fact that people take it seriously, all those fuckin things went into a Walmart bag to a coworker... she enjoyed them more. That was good enough for me.

Been away for awhile, sorry about not staying in touch! Been busy! Today my wife and I were up around Lake Superior. A couple from Pittsburgh came walking over and asked if I knew about being ducked! I said Yea, but I always try to keep a low profile! He just laughed and placed my first duck on our Jeep!
Actually it did feel kind of nice I must say I was proud! Cute duck! He told me to buy some ducks and duck more people! Good Times!View attachment 553824View attachment 553825

FSU grad here. Buffalo inn was my favorite when I was there. Nice looking ride.

Your opinion is yours and I for one accept your opinion.

But the whole thing started from a terminally I'll girl wanting to put smiles on people's faces. It worked. Millions of people played along and smiled, even if it was for a few brief moments.

The sad part is Allison passed away and won't be smiling anymore.

I'm pretty positive I knew that part of it, maybe not the specifics but that it started with a good cause. And I was okay with it when I first saw it, but I'm past that point now obviously.
