New at this so I hope I am posting correctly. I have finally started working on/modifying my 2004 LJ. It is/was bone stock. My plan is to be able to daily driver, tow behind motor home and moderate trails. I am going to run 33x12.50 with a 3 inch lift and 1.25 inch Savvy body lift. I have installed the Savvy shifter cable system, 1.25inch body lift, 1 inch MM lift and Savvy under armor transmission lift (tummy tuck). All is good with this phase except I am getting a vibration inside the Jeep at idle. No vibration at all driving.
Also, I installed new spark plugs , changed oil/filter, thermostat housing and thermostat, hoses, etc. Now i have a rough idle that goes away immediately after I start moving. Purred like a kitten before the plug change.
I grew up in the 70's working at a local garage, racing and playing in the dirt/sand here on the coastal area of southeastern NC. So I do have some knowledge of the mechanics and fabrication. That can be good and bad I guess.
I just sold my 83CJ and bought the LJ. I think it will be more user friendly for my wife and I. Looking forward to going out and enjoying the off road community. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
