I just bought my TJ exactly three weeks ago, and have been working on it almost every day to get it trail ready, but I just couldn't wait any longer to get up into the high country.
As everyone knows, all great Jeep adventures begin with a really good donut. This is in the little mountain town of Buena Vista, at 8,000' elevation. Loback's Bakery has been there since the 1930's.
From there we could get up into National Forest very quickly.
Heading up to a place called Aspen Ridge.
And then on up to Weston Pass.
A lot more snow on the west side of the pass than there was on the east side.
Heading on down to Leadville.
