Flag mount for tj?

I agree that you're going to need a really beefy mount in order to fly a huge flag at speed. Any of those little mounts won't cut it. Those big flags will be like a sail in the wind, and if you're going highway speeds, you can imagine how much force that is on the flag.

this is the issue! lol quadratec needs to get on this stuff for tjs! lol

Haha, I agree. I think the issue is that you want to run a big flag. If you wanted to run a smaller one I think you'd be able to find something that is made just for that. But, since you want to run a bigger one (which most people probably aren't doing), it's going to likely require some custom fab.

This will sound crazy but some of my friends who run big flags attach the flag to the roll bars laying the flag flat.

i am going to figure something out hahaa! and i will post about it haha

the issue is with the trailer hitch hookup is i wont be able to open my back door correct?
The flag and flag pole doesn't weigh very much. It would be easy to remove the receiver to move the spare and get into the back. Also, if you are flying a large (3' x 5') flag, I would recommend using a bungee cord to the corners of the Jeep to take some of the strain off the flag pole at speed. I fly a 3' x 5' flag on my Goldwing Trike with a receiver hitch and always use the bungee. You would be surprised at how much that flag pole will bend at 40-50 mph without some strain relief.
