Fouledplug's 2006 Jeep Wrangler "Golden Eagle"

This Jeep is absolutely beautiful and I'm not sure I could bring myself to modify it. What a find! (y)
Thank you. If you keep an eye on ebay and other sites that sell vehicles, you can find TJ’s and LJ’s with less than 20k miles. They usually go for a pretty penny, but in the end are usually worth it.

Decided to have my Tint guy make the trip to the house, since I am quarantined and with bright sunny days on the horizon.
5% on all windows with 50% on the front windshield.

As I wait for YJ parts to be delivered in the next few weeks, I am going to spend some time and get this low milage TJ cleaner than it is. Just a few things here and there that bother me, like the factory door sills.

While I do love the very minimal clean look to the clear, “bra,” on the sill, it scuffs up very easily the dirt and grime is easily noticed.

I attempted to soften the adhesive up a bit with the use of a heat gun. Heat seemed to make the adhesive a little less sticky, but it really had little effect on it overall. My best resource was a plastic razor blade and lots of patience. Also worth noting, Goo-Gone did very little as well to help in removal. I thought it was gonna be easy and quick.

Cleaning that stuff can be a true pita or super easy. There never seems to be an in-between. Looks good now. What's the plan to replace it with?

That is really clean. You could paint them matched white too if you want them to blend.
I was thinking about having them cerakoted a different color. White would be interesting, I hadn't thought about that.

I know the finish, if left as is, will only become scratched up and become dull looking. (Which is what it is designed for, I suppose)

That will have a high wear finish, good choice.

I have the Mopar stainless on my black Jeep. Had them when I bought the vehicle. They get less shiny over time and you don't even notice it really. I recommend keeping them, in a white Jeep like yours they will stand out even less.

Got around to ordering some tires off Amazon, as they had the best prices.

Falken WildPeak M/T - 265/75-16. Load Range is an E, it’s the price one pays to run a 16 inch wheel. I’ll run the tires at 22psi.

I got these tires at a 15% discount. I am a prime member, the tires were prime eligible, and all 5 were in stock. However, they didn't ship for 5 days. So after talking with Amazon and letting them know that regardless of Covid issues, I pay for a service and am not recieving what I am paying for, I negotiated a 15% discount on the total price.

Can't wait to see them on.
The door sills look really good in the raw stainless too and I like the idea you can "freshen" them up when they get scuffed.

Im planning on buying another pair and having them Cerakoted black or some other dark color.

I will run them for a while if I like the look and see how well the coating holds up.

I am expecting them to hold their color well since it is a coating known for being tough.

I am just not sold on the raw stainless on the Stone White...yet

I like the raw stainless on the white. Really looks clean. What are you doing to fit the Wildpeaks?
