Ok I've been saying I would do this and I'm tired of welding this frame back together every time I wheel so I bought a near mint 06 frame to swap into my 97.

06 into a 97, eh? Let us know how it goes. The steering box and skid mounting are different, for sure.

Yep, steering box, lower intermittent steering shaft, pressure and return lines for the steering pump, location and bolt size of the skid plate, bolt size of the rear bumper frame tie in and interestingly enough the rear cross member on the newer frames are lacking 4 bolt holes inside the frame rails. So far I haven't found anything else.

Got around to disassembling my transmission. Looks like I need a reverse idler and the 1-2/Reverse slider. Someone wasn't very kind to this thing.
