My 2001 TJ, built in May 2001, has a front exhaust pipe without mini-cats. I cannot find a replacement for it with any of the auto/jeep suppliers. Quadritec has one that looks like it would fit but it is for a 2000. The tech said it was probably a mid year change and would probably fit mine. My system has 4 sensors and the main cat is welded to the exhaust pipe which makes me think it is original. It looks like I may have a bad main cat converter and will have to replace it and since it had some cat related codes this week. The TJ has over 200K miles. I'm trying to find the best place to purchase the hardware for this. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with this. I am in Michigan. The service manual that I read said that California was the only state that required the mini-cats. But that was in 2001 and things may have changed. Thank you in advance for any ideas you may have.
