Front pinion overhaul

I need to overhaul the front diff on my 2005 TJ auto
I would like to order all the parts I need prior to starting the job.
I normally purchase my parts from RockAuto but it is difficult to identify the exact thrust bearings and seals I need for the pinion.
Can anybody help with part numbers please.

My 2004 had bad carrier bearings a few years back when I tore into it. You have to be prepared for allot of little extra stuff when you do diffs. I don't know part numbers but I do know odd stuff will pop up. If you don't have everything you might have to wait for parts.

Call 4 wheel parts...they have a differential team. They knew all the part numbers and set me up with an order.

Consider a Super 30 kit or upgraded axles.

Not really what you asked but......
If it were mine I'd order a whole differential setup kit.

It might be cheaper to order a master install kit. The only thing you won't need are the shims and ring gear bolts. Trying to source everything else separately gets expensive. Plus paying shipping to New Zealand on multiple orders would be silly.

Overhaul is relatively easy. Just don't mix up shims. Since you'll be installing new bearings, you'll want to set your pinion preload to 16-20 in/lbs.
