I have a 1999 Wrangler with the 2.5l 4 cyl engine. My gas tank still has the long vent tube since I fill up with 15 gallons. I am looking at replacing the dash with Autometer style gauges. There are many different fuel level gauges available due to the different ohm values at full and empty. Does anyone know what those values should be for my 15 gallon tank? My current tank level readings appear to be quite accurate. I'm getting about 240 - 250 miles on a tank and filling up at empty has never gone beyond 15 gallons. Thanks for any info!!

I think those values are in the FSM.

Not that it matters, but if you're filling up wtih 15 gallons, you might have the 19 gallon version.
The gauge is known to read empty before it is.

With float in up position, resistance should be 20 ohms. With float in down position, resistance should be 220 ohms.

In case anyone is looking for this info like I was here it is for a 1997 directly from the shop manual. I don't see the ohm value listed for my 2004 but I have a brand new pump for it and it tested the same. From everything is see for TJs 4 and 6 cylinder models use the same pump/sender units. The only differences in pumps units are 15 and 19gal and square or the later flat plug. The manual says 20 ohms full and 270 ohms empty.
