Fuel pump confusion

My 97 TJ Sport with 4.0 needs a fuel pump. Gathering parts and info to be ready for a warmer spell.
I do have a Bosch 69313 kit coming which I may or may not use. I am also considering the complete pump assembly with the Delphi product. First question.. I see both the FG1353 and FG1355 come up as a replacement. Are they different? Which one do I need. Which brings me to the second question.. No idea what size of tank I have. (I think 19 gal.) Went the decoded vin route no info. I read they are really the same size. If that is the case why all the noise about "this pump fits only xxx"?

I have dropped tanks before not fun but beats the dentist.
Retired so I can take as long as I want. But also old so any job takes longer than I want.

I would just replace the fuel pump itself with the Bosch. Delphi is turning out to be a good brand but if the rest of the fuel pump assembly is ok, I'd just replace the pump itself.

Unless your Jeep is a really stripped-down model you have the 19 gallon tank

Regardless of your tank size get the 19 gallon unit as there is no actual tank size difference.

Consider getting a flat jack similar to this to lift and lower the tank. Much easier than blocks. Dpepnding upon the current height you might need a taller one or to add blocks. A flat jack on wheels makes it even easier.

If you think you might have the 15 gallon tank, look up the fuel neck filler mod. It's a free mod that converts the 15 gallon tank into the 19 gallon tank. Literally all you do is remove a piece of plastic tube.

It is actually the vent tube, not the filler neck.
