Furlough Upgrades

Looking for some advice on a couple upgrades during down time. Upgrade on steering (looking to keep it under $400.00) and opinions on a replacement skid plate.

You could replace your TJ tie rod, drag link and tie rod ends with stronger parts from a '98 ZJ for around $200-300.
For the money spent... the ZJ steering components are a good investment.

ZJ steering a huge improvement for cheap $.
If you can weld then weld in a removable trans mount crossmember. Then you can use anything you want for a skidplate. If it's a DD then you might not need a skid at all.

If you want to stay under $400, the ZJ Tie Rod Conversion is what I would suggest.
