Gas gauge is seriously off

When my warning light comes on, I have about 5 gallons left. I’m not sure why the manual claims 2.

They are trying to protect you from being silly and running out of fuel.

If you look at the float of the OEM fuel system its got a jankity ass level float. Very easy to tell what is going on with readings. if its the end of the world get ya one of these tap wire a new gauge call it a day.
