Good source for 4/0 wire?

I'd recommend not using the frame for the ground for either the hydraulic motor or the winch for the reasons stated earlier. Also, I wouldn't run either with your truck running. You want to keep the two systems isolated, except when the truck is running, you want the batteries to charge. We have a hard time teaching this to our construction guys here. It's not usually an issue when the truck battery is in a good state of charge, but when it's not, the charge current spikes, and fuses in the truck blow.

Also, it's important to remember that the battery isolator for your dump truck is likely just a relay that connects the large 12V line in your truck's 7pin connector to your trailer batteries only when the trucks running (it's energized by ignition 12V, typically, but sometimes by the running lights), and as such, the two systems are not isolated when the truck is running (or when the lights are off, if it's the running lights that energize the isolation relay.)

Welded up the winch plate and got most of the wiring done...ended up getting a rem from a local auto electric place.
