I have a 2003 Rubicon that I love. Last September a temporary lack of talent on my part resulted in my Jeep going turtle. The insurance company declared it a total but I did not want to let it go so I made a deal to keep my Jeep and take a settlement. The following is a pictorial of the Jeep after the roll over to what it is now. I finally have it back and during the rebuild I was able to do do most of things that I had been wanting to do to the Jeep. The mods that it now has are as follows: Super Swamper tires 265/80 16 tires (32.5”) M&R 1 1/2” lift springs Bilstien 5100 shocks Currie Anti-rock sway bar Poison Spider complete cage Interior grab handles welded to cage Rokmen 1/2” body lift Rokmen belly skid with tummy tuck Rokmen gas tank skid Front and rear rock crawler style bumpers Ramsey Platnium 9000# winch Rigid Dually D2 LED lights LED headlights Spare tire relocation Bed tred complete interior liner New factory soft top Lowrance 4HDM GPS Kenwood 522 head unit New radiator New waterpump New serpentine belt and tensioner New hoses New plugs Uniden CB radio I am really happy how it all turned out, going to Moab UT next week for the annual Easter Jeep Safari.
Silver really is a damn good looking color on these rubis. Awesome job with the rebuild, it really does look showroom quality. Simple yet rugged, looks awesome and not overdone.
Unfortunately it does now have a salvage title but I don’t intend on getting rid of it anytime soon so not a big deal.
Excellent work and a great save. In my mind, this is a keeper that stays in your family. Salvage title? Yah, whatever.
