Hi all. I thought I would share my results after installing H&R 52107 1" Springs. Since before and after questions are quite common with this setup, I thought it wouldn't hurt to share some more results. All components were completely factory before lift. 2004 Jeep TJ Rockey Mountain Edition. Tires before and after are the same KO2 235/75R15. In addition to the spring lift, I decided to tackle everything in the suspension and steering in one shot since all components were original and bushings were looking tired. Parts replaced:
Suspension
Jeep ZJ tie rod upgrade. Thicker component upgrade. Simple bolt on replacement, no modifications needed. Photo provided from another thread.
Front 1-1/4"
Rear 5/8"
Front Bumper 1-1/2"
Rear Bumper 1/2"
Before
Take notice of the Pepsi cans.
After
The Jeep nearly sits level now. Rear seat in with Bestop soft top both before and after. No additional weight.
I have only driven for roughly 15km (Canada) since the upgrade. Very minor off roading for a few km only so far, but initial impressions are a nice improvement in feel.
In the next 1-2 weeks I'll be able to climb some hills and really give it an off road test to see how much is improved.
I will almost certainly be going to a larger 31x10.50 from the current 29" tire in the coming months. I want to ride on the same tires for a while first to really get some perspective on suspension only differences over factory.
