Being from Phoenix where they used to be outlawed, driving through Omaha in the evening looked like the fog of war.

Short story, my big truck was down. A couple guys in the shop took me out drinking in Omaha. At the bar, they were lighting off mortars on the ground. I ducked back inside to keep pouring PBR down my throat. Rode back to the motel through a haze of smoke.

Yep. I'm not a Fireworks fan much anymore and I spent a 4th over on the westside of WA where everyone sets them off. Ear plugs wasn't enough and I was awake until about 4 AM. Over here on the eastside only towns can set them off sue to the dry climate.
