Fireworks are illegal where I live so I’m jealous of you guys who live in free states. Have fun!Got the first round teed up & ready to go! We're on a street with a lot of little kids (to include ours) so we all chip in for a quantity over quality type event. Enough snakes to stain an entire driveway & poppits for days. May the spark fountains shower!

Shhh, I may have some mortars sploding laterYou know, I'm shocked they're legal here in Utah. The whole state is pretty much dry tinder this time of year, and there have already been 2 fires this past week, one in a residential area that took out a few homes. We stick to the spark fountains & little balls that pop maybe 15 feet in the air (which is what I think is legal) but you still see tons of no-shit mortars getting launched in every neighborhood.
Just remember to get a sturdy base. I once did not remember & arced a mortar 3 feet over the hen house at my sister's place. No eggs for days!Shhh, I may have some mortars sploding later
Oh same out here. Utah actually goes all July with this stuff. Supposedly ol' Brigham Young settled this here valley for the Chosen on July 24th, so the Mormons (and everyone else really) celebrates Pioneer Days for the whole month. Tons of fireworks, rodeos, 4H stuff all month long - it's a lot of fun.Nuts - it sounds like the Battle of the Bulge here every 4th!
That's the price one pays for freedom! We took incoming - huge flash, loud bang, and multi-color sparks everywhere. Apparently the sky rocket from across the street went horizontal, or failed to gain altitude, or otherwise didn't go ballistic and hit our house!
