Has anyone used the 10mm OME spacers with OME light duty springs?

Thanks everyone. I decided to compromise and go with 933 front/942 rear springs. I went back and forth on the 934/949 springs, but think they will be overkill for my intended build. I am hoping it sits fairly level with this setup.

Have fun with it, and post us some pics!

Thanks. I’m like a kid at Christmas. I have the lift, Exogate, wheels and tires - now I get to have fun!

You put the exogate on yet? Soak those bolts in as much kroil as possible in advance. I broke the heads off two of my hinge bolts in the body and made my life miserable when doing my install.

Use a little heat to remove the tailgate hinge bolts. They have factory applied lock tite on them and the heat will loosen it up.

OP, I realize this is an old thread, but how did that set up work out for you. I am in the market for the same spring setup with Rancho shocks and trying to figure out light vs medium vs heavy duty setups.

That guy hasn't been on here for over a year and a half.

I ran the same setup. It worked well for me. I now have that setup on my twin sons rig and I run a 4" setup.

I will admit though, there is a lot of variance on what the 933/942 setup gives. I've seen terrible results and others are fine.

What you really need to know is that spacers are what you use to get the ride height dialed in. Don't be afraid of a spacer.

A spring is a spring. It holds up the sprung weight of the Jeep and that's all they do. If a spring gives you the ride height you want for your tire size then you accomplished your goal. Be happy.

Shocks control ride quality and are very important to match correctly with your suspension lift. You want to aim for 50:50 up/down travel bias.

On my stock LJ, with no heavy stuff bolted on, I recently installed OME 2932 "Stock/Light Load" front springs and 2942 "Heavy Constant Load" rear springs. I got a 2" lift at the rear and a 1" lift at the front. I added StreetRays 1" aluminum spacers at the front to get a 2" lift all around. On this LJ, I wish I had bought the OME 2933 "Heavy Load" front springs to get closer to 2". But the spacers did the trick.

Many people, including me, have been using Skyjacker Black MAX shocks instead of the Ranchos for a very good ride. See Irun's "A Lesson Learned" build for a lot of good info. My much lighter build thread is here.
