Wheeling trip today with my buddy who has the modified FJ40. We went over Hayden Pass, down into the San Luis Valley, and then up and around in the mountains above the historic mining town of Bonanza.
Heading up toward Hayden Pass:
At the top. We were in a cloud up here:
Coming down into the San Luis Valley. At 8,000 square miles it is the largest alpine valley in the world and is the size of the country of Israel:
So many mines up in the mountains around Bonanza:
