Header for my TJ

I have a 1998 TJ and the exhaust is in need of replacing, it only has 79,000 miles on it, but the previous owner let it sit out and I've restored it. What do you think are the advantages, disadvantages of installing a header before replacing the exhaust???? Thanks, Stephen
 
There is no advantage whatsoever to installing an aftermarket header unless it’s a full long tube header like this one:

Any of the other headers that just replace the top half will yield little to no power gains.

That one I linked to with a proper tune will get you around 20-30 HP at the rear wheels.

Haha, this forum is good for helping people spend money.

Of course I don't know how a full long tube header works with a turbo ;)
