My full custom seats, front and back in two tone, with repaired drivers and rear seat foam, in leather, in expensive California, only cost me $1150. I added a new tan leather steering wheel for $300.

I reupholstered a pair of Porsche buckets many years ago for a '74 911.
I used a pre-fabbed kit that utilized original materials and patterns to retain the OEM appeal.
It was a very labor intensive project made only slightly easier w/ a few new tools.
It only took installing one pair for me to learn my lesson... never again by my hand.
Even more work if the frames or foam have any damage, which could require welding or fabrication.
It's a skill that I will gladly pay a professional to do when the need arises.
BTW, that is a sharp looking set; looks like your shop did a great job & I can't wait to see them installed.
I couldn't justify the cost when I redid our TJ, so I went with a set of neoprene covers from WetOkole. They have faded, but get a lot of sun.

p.s. This is the only cat I've ever owned in 40 years, that can turn doorknobs to open them, jumps up to switch lights on and off with the wall switch. and pulls on the lever to try to flush the toilet (18lb cat). I blame it on WTJF and @Chris not letting Elon investigate his security practices..

A friend of mine owns the shop & his son now works there. They do a ton of convertible top replacements and do warranty repairs for dealers that the dealer mechanics have no idea about. He and his son are very talented and able to figure out problems with car tops. as well as auto upholstery, He had an Audi in the other day with a retractable hardtop, what a nightmare, cables everywhere. The cables are clipped into plastic tabs, The car gets hot in the sun and the glued on plastic tabs fail.

Did that. Talked to a guy who told me that the guy I needed to talk to had just left for the day, but that he would have him call me first thing tomorrow. That was last summer. Still waiting.
