there has to be a quality heater core for a 98 tj since the oem ones are not around any more? all i hear is how the afr=ter market ones are terrible and leak, dont fit!

Not that I know of. That doesn't mean there aren't any, it just means I don't know which one would be the one to go with.
I would personally just go with whichever one has the best reviews you can find. Avoid Cardone at all costs too!
