Heater vs AC

So last month I installed a new heater core. To keep driving, I switched the hose from the Heater Core to the AC Evaporator. There was a definite increase in the heater output, and after connecting the new heater core, the heat output definitely dropped so today I measured the air temperature colling thru the defroster.

Heres the AC Evapotator

30F degree difference !!
It is so hot off the AC you have to open a window.

And max output thru the AC is with the temperature dial set to cold.
But what a difference. Think I'll leave it this way till spring

That's pretty funny. I guess if you don't need AC, then that's a solution. You will have to replace the evap if you want an efficient ac again as it's now contaminated.

Yeah my AC is on board air, Who needs AC with the doors off.

You could tee the lines and use both the heater core and evap at same time

I remember you saying it was hotter through the AC, but I would never have guessed it would be 30 degrees hotter!

Are you going to use ball valves so you can turn the coolant flow down or off?

Will that heat damage anything . . . . ex. rubber/foam blend door seals, plastics that aren't supposed to get hot, etc. ?
