Heater - fan works great, radiator might be bad, when I did my rebuild I took the radiator out and got all the dirt off it.

I am aware that there is heat coming from the shifter boot caused by the Cat and transmission.
My heater is pretty bad in the winter and doesn't heat the cab very well, I know I could go out and by a new radiator for it as I believe that to be the issue. But I was wondering if anyone has managed to funnel the heat from either the engine bay, or the heat coming from the cat and transmission into the cab to help with heating. As my jeep also has some leaks where the cold air can get in. This isn't a big concern to me but was just a idea I had and was wondering if someone managed to do it.
The second issue I am having is when I go uphill it seems that my rear or at least I think the noise is come from the rear makes this weird noise. It is hard to tell if it is gears or something else but only seems to happen when going up hill in 2 High. Any ideas on what this could be.
