I daily a 2006 “Golden Eagle” TJ that has had terrible vibrations throughout the vehicle. The dash, wheel, shifter, everything has been violently vibrating for the past few days. I put on smaller tires for a few days (31” down to 30”) on the back for burnouts and drifts and whatnot and thought that might be the fix but, I put on my old tire/wheels back on today but the vibrations still happen. They start around 2,000 RPMs getting up to 30-55MPH. What could this be?

Possible bent axle shaft or shaft flange? Did you slide into anything while drifting etc.? Did you suddenly get a burst of traction while doing a burnout?

You didn't have it in 4wd while drifting with two different tire sizes did you? That can cause more problems than just a vibration.

An update. I have paid more attention to the Jeep and found the vibrations happen in 3rd-6th gear while accelerating the worst being 4th gear at 30-45mph.

Remembering back to get more details I did go over a log and got stuck (high centered) and was pushed off driving forward. I was in 4 low and was moving when I put it back into neutral, then 4 high, then 2 and heard a clunk that didn't seem normal (I also dented my oil pan but whatever). The vibrations have been lessened with my 31s" vs. the 30"s. My friend says my drive shaft is bent. Are there any tests or anything to look for me to figure out what is wrong?
