Greetings from rocket town, Huntsville AL. Just picked up my first Jeep, a '99 Wrangler TJ.
It is in pretty good shape. I went over the underside pretty well and it doesn't look to have ever bee mudded. Yes, I know where to look :)
No signs of abuse. It's a somewhat rare color, Chili Pepper Red.
4.0 with the 5-speed. 151K miles with no leaks or smoke.

I'm planning to check it over mechanically and change all fluids in the driveline so we can flat tow behind a motorhome with a Curt tow bar.

I'm sure I'll have a few questions so thanks in advance!

Welcome! This is the right place to ask those questions. I love the chili pepper red TJ’s! I’ve never seen one in person but they are my favorite color by far and I think the spice top is a great color combo. Can’t wait to see how you build it!
 
Thank you everyone. This’ll probably be disappointing to you all but I’m not into serious off roading. This will be my weekend top-down cruiser. Maybe some unimproved roads if we go out west.
