definitely.Ah okay, thanks for clarifying. Would you say that the Essex is worth the price difference over the standard Cut Pile?

I think it’s more a preference thing, I had a 1995 Mazda Miata that came factory with black loop pile carpet, I loved it … also had loop pile and diamond vinyl in a 71 240z … I am considering having ACC do loop pile for my 81 corvette, technically my model car came with loop pile … but undecided. If you were restoring a 1955 chevrolet and wanted the correct type of carpeting, I would say go with the 600 series loop.
I do not think it would look correct in our Jeeps, and I don't think its quite as dense as the 800 series pile.
Years ago I was a sales manager for an automotive restoration company and we were a vendor for ACC, so I'm pretty familiar with their products.
I have used their 600 series carpeting in a couple old cars that I have owned and have been happy with it, but like I said
I don't think it would look right in a Jeep.
i pulled out my khaki carpet and installed bedtread. carpet has no place in an off road vehicle. ordered my f-150 with plastic flooring as well. i would just ruin carpet anyhow.
I finally got my medium doeskin carpet in. I think it's about at close as you can get for 97-98 tan carpet. I wish I would have gotten mass backed now. This stuff is lighter (not thinner) than factory carpet.

Did we land on a color for khaki? I have been thinking about switching from the bedrug back to carpet.
I think we discussed this on another thread about paint-matching, but remind me what your interior code is?
Not sure if it was mentioned before in this thread, but when I added the Essex carpet in mine, I emailed ACC directly and they sent me samples of all the colors I wanted to my house. This was free. I then picked the color I wanted and ordered from Rockauto which had at that time at least lower prices than directly from ACC.
I had about 7 samples sent and never found a direct match for the Khaki (I have a 99 Sport) I was happy with. I instead put in black carpet to create a two-toned interior. I really like it especially since I have a black Boom Mat headliner on the hardtop.
If I remember correctly ACC had more colors for Cutpile than Essex. I really like the Essex. I ordered it with the mass backing as well. I am not using floor mats though, so I do not have the fitment issue that Moab did.
