My 99 TJ was idling around 1100 RPM. I cleaned the IAC by spraying throttle body cleaner into the opening in the throttle body, but that didn't help. A couple weeks go by and it becomes hard to start the jeep, almost like my check valve has failed. My fuel pump was replaced a few months ago though, so now I'm getting really frustrated. Today I went out to pull the IAC and figure out what was going on. I pulled it out and it looked like this. The threads in the sensor stripped out. This was a Mopar IAC, and I think it is the original; so, I guess 25 years is pretty good.
