A few months back I discovered my 2000 wrangler had a high idle while it was running in park. Even after putting it in gear it still idled at around 2500 RPMS. I cleaned the throttle body which brought the idle down to around 1000 RPMS. Either in gear or park it is still idling high. I do not know what else it could be, any suggestions?

Check your for a vacuum leak as high idle is almost always vacuum leak related. One way to test is to spray carb cleaner on your vacuum lines, and if you have a leak it will suck up the carb cleaner into your engine and cause a fall in the rpms due to running rich. Once its cleared out it will idle high again. Common spots are the Evap hoses, brake booster hoses, and underneath the passenger battery tray.
Remove and clean the IAC (idle air controller) first. A vacuum leak will throw a code and check engine light most times.

I cleaned the TB and cleaned then replaced the IAC. No change. I replaced the TPS and idle RPMs returned to normal.
