Yes, it just happened on Black Bear Pass. The passenger was seriously injured and there is a GoFundMe for her.

like a week. Guy got out to spot and it popped out of gear with his passenger and a dog or two inside.
From what I understand all the human and animal occupants were ejected, dogs are ok but the human was injured pretty bad.
The red Jeep going down the mountain looked like a JK to me, though admittedly hard to tell while crumpled and flying through the air.
Like he said hard to tell in a tumbling wreck.

my aunt was hanging from a cliff by the rear axle in the 60s. Her brother jumper over the seat and accidentally kicked the car into neutral.
from that day forward she could not be in a car going over anything with height.
