How do I patch hole in fender from snorkel?

A ghetto repair would be alright in my book if it got rid of a snorkel. I'd probably attach a piece of sheet metal painted Krylon gloss red on the inside with 4 sheet metal screws and call it a day. Manly-man Jeeps don't need perfect blemish-free repairs lol.

Clean and grind the edges. Cut a piece of sheet metal to fit leaving a 1/6" gap. I like painting the back side with weldable primer. Tack weld with a MIG gun...no continuous beads...smallest wire you have...test weld some pieces first. Slowly weld the piece on one tack at a time. Grind smooth. If you did it right minimal skin of Bondo. Primer. Paint.

Depends. Can you get an epoxy sealer or something similar on the backside of the repair?

Cut a piece of diamond plate and bolt it in until it can get done right. Old school diamond plate fixes everything.
