My first bacon explosion was down in New Orleans, had to work the weekend down there and the guys brought in their smokers and made them. They put okra in theirs though.
My fire starterBrother and I use a Weber Kettle. Royal Oak charcoal, chimney, firestarters, some charcoal containers so we can do indirect heating in the middle and then sear it off. Variety of wood chips for smoking.
Can't wait to get a real job and then buy a real smoker like a Traeger or something similar. Brisket, better ribs, etc... Mmmmmm!

Yeah very good group...When your ready for the pellet smoker research it over there...not a ton of love for the Treagers but Rectec and yoder and some of the pitt boss models seem to be better.I'm also on there. Good group I deed!

Smoke at 250 until internal temp is 160. Enjoy.
