I’m getting set up to do a full respray of my TJ next month and I’m wondering about how much paint I’ll actually need. With a compact size and no roof or rear panels to paint, how much un-thinned paint would I need?

I just finished painting my flares. The flares alone took 24oz of paint. I'd guess the rest of the jeep would need at least 2 quarts. Depends how many coats you plan to put down, and if you are clearing it.

Its Gloss black and just a repaint of the same color.
I'm probably going to go with a two stage

I used a full gallon when I did mine. However, I had lots of aluminum armor I painted and cleared at the same time.

single stage 1 gallon
2 stage base coat/ clear coat a gallon of each.

I know this is an OLD thread, etc, etc.......

I have a rust free tub I plan on painting this summer, going from white to Flame Red and using single stage. Ill be painting the tub inside and out including the inner rear fenders and the torque box area, the firewall and the outside of the front fenders. How many coats should I expect to get from a gallon(plus whatever the reducer adds to the volume)? How many coats and quantity of sealer should I plan on?
