How much transmission fluid to get back to max?

Can you see the lines running into the transmission ?

The pick makes me think it's a pan gasket but hard to tell.
If it's just a gasket, now would be a good time to service the tranny, replace fluid and filter.

Easy job but VERY messy without a drain plug.

I know this is an old thread, but wanted to comment. I agree with Jerry on being careful when you check the fluid on a 32RH. The vehicle has to be level, transmission hot, (edit) engine running, and in NEUTRAL! My main reason to post though was in response to the OP’s question on the amount of fluid needed to get from Min to Max on the transmission dipstick. I filled mine yesterday from being exactly on the Min mark on the dipstick. I put in exactly a half quart and it was then let sit all night (to make sure everything to ran down the dipstick tube), and then checked again today after I got it good and hot and let it sit idling for 10 min in neutral. It was almost exactly on Max! So the answer is approx 1/2 quart from Min to Max on the dipstick!
