How to determine if clock spring is bad?

Sounds like you got a loose/pinched wire. Most of those things don't have anything to do with the clockspring.

I'm about to do my clockspring. Just wanted to double check that this one has held up? I'd rather spend $40 than $140 especially because I don't drive it a lot.

Sorry to start up an old thread. Replacing my clockspring and trying to avoid spending $120+. How’s this one held up after a few years??
