How to wire your TJ for towing behind RV or truck

First off, you'll need the Curt 58902 wiring harness.

I did this in about an hours with a kit that made wiring easy without cutting the factory wires.

Nice write up! I installed the same kit. Pretty much plug-n-play. Only difference I made was to install a 4 round receptacle in the grill since my coil wire going to the RV is a 4 round.

For those of you who tow, do you use a braking system in the Jeep? A friend traded some bikebuilding work for his Even Brake system he used to tow his Jeep. I haven't installed any of the components yet, just checking here for experience. i just have the '05 Tundra so don't want to tow without braking.

Mostly insurance coverage and liability, but it does assist. Many states require it.
