How will 33s be off-road with 3.73 gears?

Ran with your setup for a couple years after upgrading to 33's and couldn't take it anymore. 1st gear felt like taking off in 2nd. 5th gear was useless. 4low wasn't really 4low anymore. So, I regeared to 4.56. It's like a whole new jeep. I had the factory Traclok LSD in my Dana 44 and wanted to keep it at the time, so I got a thick cut gear set and a new clutch pack for the LSD and did new clutches at regear. The front Dana 30 carrier can be re-used. Read up on driveline vibrations after regearing before you pull the trigger. It's rare, but it's a real thing.

OP, with that transmission I'd eventually get 4.88 thick gears if I was planning to stay with 33's. In addition, get a hand throttle and thank me later, only $40 for the Teraflex, dramatically improves offroad throttle control.

so they do make a throttle like that I was just wheeling this weekend and it can be the jerkiest thing at times. I'm gonna have to look into that thanks!

ExtremeTerrain website has a note that they no longer carry these. Looks like still available on Amazon, about same price.

33s and 3.73 for me was tolerable on/off road but you with UNDERSTAND the forum discussions once you go to higher gearing.

4.56 for me and made all the difference! Follow forum advice for your trans.

I didn't see 3.73 being terrible off-road but I also added a lunchbox locker around the same time the 33s went on. Recommended choice for a budget-friendly add-on. You can learn to drive with it up front in the snow safely, I'd know... ⛄

ya I've decided to spend the money to get the gears even though I should be saving 😬. Revaluation is what I'm going with but they are about a month out
