Recently bought my 2003 Rubicon, and started this adventure. She was semi neglected for most of her life until now. My plan is to bring her back to the glorious head turner that she is.
First picture is the day I brought her home, and then a few more up to what she looks like today.
I’m enjoying working on her!

There is just something about a black Rubicon that makes you want to stare...

Nice acquirement, congratulations! And welcome to the TJ zoo...

What's the old girl got for suspension and tires?

Doesn't look like you wasted to much time to get the wheels and tires on. Looks really good. Welcome to the forum.

She's looking great! I wished I was mechanically inclined (or even my husband). Welcome!
Between youtube and this forum you will be amazed at what you can do. These jeeps are just lego kits for adults.:p

Thanks. She was looking pretty neglected when I brought her home. I consider it shiny when you can see yourself walking up to it, and right when if you stare at it and can’t tell what color it is. I’ve never owned a black vehicle so I’m learning that too.
Springs, spacers and body lift that add up to about 4”. The tires are an off brand (to me anyway) that are just shy of 35’s. It is a work in progress, same as everyone else’s.

Welcome, beautiful looking rig!

I’m considering a body lift as well (1.25”), is it very obvious to you in person, or not too bad?

That’s what I have, and no. It’s really not that noticeable to me. Of course I haven’t had my Jeep very long, and I put it on like week two of having it.

It’s slowly turned back into my favorite color.
I’ve never owned a black vehicle before, and I always thought they must be a real pain to try to keep clean. Moreso than any other color, and I based that theory on every dark colored vehicle I have owned. I’m catching on to it though, I think.
