Not sure IF I am posting this in the correct Forum location....

Friday morning I am leaving with my brother and a couple family members to assist my brothers IN LAWS with recovery in Louisiana...
The in laws were in the direct path of Hurricane Ida and their residences.
One family members trailer was destroyed and the others house was damaged....
I am bringing items for my daily use, intake and protection...
BougeRV 53qt, solar panels, food, and PP are to name just a few.

Any other suggestions on things I should bring.... ??

Bug Spray
Hand Sanitizer
Disinfectant Wipes
TP
Hip boots, if you have them

What's PP? We can help you better if you give us more situational knowledge.

Is their water safe to drink? Is their sewer system working? Do they heat their water with electric or gas?
  • First aid
  • Large cooler (get some block ice when you get close)
  • Generator
  • Fuel cans

Thanks for the recommendations...
WE are bringing multiple flats of bottled water for the days we are there......
I am not sure what they are doing to their water supply or what they have on hand....
PP..... is personal protection..... which does not mean a condom.... :ROFLMAO:

Can you text/phone them before leaving? If their hot water is electric, you could bring a shower shelter (I have the walmart one which is fine) and a solar shower. Although some cold water might feel good in LA without AC!

A water filter takes up a lot less room than bottled water and then they don't need to deal with the waste. Pretty sure you can pick one up that has a standard hose fitting at any home improvement store.

A shade shelter with bug netting would be nice. In the house will be hot AF.

Good recommendations so far. I have a few things that you might want to borrow. 5 gal gas cans, pop up shade tent, 20lb propane bottles, extension cords etc.
