I see a full float hp70 in your future… for the rear, that way when you blow another one at least you can get out without too much damage…
Yup - time to upgrade to "Tuns and Fodeez"!

It was Andy's Jeep, not sure the 10 factory axles are tough so I have heard.
Where he was going up the rock was steeper than it looks and I figured his tires were spinning and the left got traction and that's when the axle broke.
Heck even a full floating 60 would have been better![]()

At least this time he made it to the trail before it broke.
TEN Year Replacement Warranty:
- The name “TEN Factory” reflects their commitment to quality. It stands for the TEN-year replacement warranty on their axle shafts.
It's pretty messed up that the seller took your hard earned money and in turn gave you an axle that was weaker than stock. No way should you have snapped an axle doing what you were doing...especially when it was wet. That's similar or worse than having a Dana 35 out there.
Good news is that you made it off the trail and got it home.
Yea man, I'm with you on the camera not appreciating much of the wheeling angles we do.
That said, a quality axle doesn't break on that terrain, especially in the manner Andy said he was driving it. Otherwise, we'd need a stack of spare chromoly axles with us in order to complete trails in places like Elvis, Terminator, or Moab.
Connecting after wheel spin happens on obstacles all the time.
I've heard and read stories about axles breaking from Alloy USA, Ten Factory, and Carbon Offroad. I was lucky to learn about R&G being the better way to go before I made my purchase.

Great, guess I should have used stock shafts instead of alloy usa
Having no experience with their products or prior knowledge of their history, Ten factory and alloy USA always sounded like the meaningless nonsense chinesium brand names I see on Amazon.
I'd like to think current ownership has that stuff squared away by now since that was years ago.
The point is that warranties aren't necessarily guaranteed, especially if the person providing them doesn't stick around.
Left rear axle
Ten Factory Chromoly
Not even beating on it bad hard...

The part that bothers me is having shafts weaker than stock as an "upgrade". warranties are useless at that point since I refuse to do autozone style rinse and repeat for something as important as an axleshaft

Exactly-
Here’s the deal-
I would have been surprised if a non-Rubicon axle broken in that situation.
I was on damp rocks, Just repositioning the jeep in order to climb. Kapow.
Now- Could I have previously damaged the axle? Maybe so.
Here is what companies can do:
You can spend less on the product by importing and take the extra profit and quickly and gladly make everything up-
Or you can put the money into product quality and then get to keep what is left with minimal warranty liability.
I think the former is more likely with 10 Factory.
My company is simply another variation of a manufacturer.
I give a great warranty- If you ever have a problem with something we did let me know and we will do our best to make it right- And if we made a mistake we will always do the right thing.
At the same time I have minimal exposure because I insist on doing things well to begin with.
That’s my personal choice and my application of my values into my business.
As of right now I am only thinking of Revolution for the next set.
I’ll get these warranted and use as a “ get home” set.
