I wonder if we'll see this in upcoming JL electric models

All I can say is that that's going to be insanely expensive when it breaks!

I see a lot of Jeeps being traded in after 100k miles if they go this route :D

I did read that Jeep is for sure doing a hybrid version of the JL.
 
Down at the base we have a chevy 1500 club cab hybrid truck. It has a huge battery under the rear seat. It works well. It it seamlessly switches from battery to engine power. To be honest i don't want to own one. To much to go wrong. But as long as someone else has to fix it and it doesn't cost me anything i like it.
