I agree with it being the best design. The only thing that’d make it better, is a dust filter...Having worked on the RR snorkel design, there's a reason why companies are cutting the hoods and doing it that way. It cost about $100k in tooling, and over a year of design/prototyping to get it to work. We HATED how ugly the others were so we did it the long, hard, and expensive way. But all in all it was IMO the best design.
You can buy the one they sell separately and it will work. 17756.09 is the part number.I agree with it being the best design. The only thing that’d make it better, is a dust filter...
I don't like any of the AEV stuff these days. I've even changed my mind on their TJ products and don't like that stuff anymore either. I think it's overrated personally.

Personally how I've always felt about AEV stuff for TJ's. If the Pintlers weren't known for cracking, I'd be more interested in a beadlock version of them. The highlines are just too expensive to actually wheel (and also not as functional as other highlines). The bumpers don't fit my needs either.
If you are just trying to drive around on the road, AEV stuff might look good. But once you start wheeling, you can quickly see the faults of AEV stuff. That being said, I'd love to own a Brute one day, I'd just never wheel it.
I think the only product of theirs I really liked was the Antarctic Commander they built... but that really wasn’t a product either...
It looked awesome... stretched the wheelbase, lifted, and ran 37’sI must have missed that one.
B,B,BUT it makes it LOOK like you could go on a safari anytime...Out of all the snorkels in the U.S., how many do you think have been in water over the tires? Just curious....

I think they are good ONLY when you prefilter them, like on a HMMWV, but then really only if you are on those super dusty trails out west... I've been on a few where I'd have to stop to clean the filter...
